A fifth train to the Netherlands – and a first for Lille
Big news for our London–Netherlands route: for the very first time, we’re adding a fifth daily train between London, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
From 15 December, this additional service will offer even more choice and flexibility for our growing number of customers travelling between the UK and the Netherlands. Sales are now open– just in time to help travellers alike plan for the festive season and beyond.
Why it matters
With increasing demand for this route, adding a fifth train marks a major step forward in strengthening Eurostar’s cross-Channel network.
- We currently run three direct trains per day between London and the Netherlands.
- Our fourth train returns to service is back from September
→ Departures from London from 8 September, and from the Netherlands from 9 September.
- The fifth new service begins on 15 December.
→ Due to planned engineering works, this train will depart from Amsterdam and Rotterdam starting 16 December.

Lille goes Dutch – new routes now available
From this summer, for the first time, customers can book journeys from Lille to the Netherlands – including Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
This is part of the extension of our intra-Schengen offering, which already includes travel between Lille and Brussels. These new routes are available in Eurostar Standard and Standard Premier only, with tickets bookable one month in advance.
So whether it’s a business meeting in Rotterdam or a weekend in Amsterdam, Lille customers now have more ways to connect.
Looking ahead
This expansion of our timetable reflects our continued investment in connecting Europe sustainably, reliably and comfortably.
